I was introduced to the world of COMPUTERS in 1973 when I was an assistant in a design firm that manufactured "Automated Processing Machinery" (No *Hard Disks* back then - Only Tape Drives!)


After building my basic computer skills, I accepted an invitation to work at "Boeing" on the "747 Jumbo Jet" program where I was introduced to the world of design and manufacturing. Then I accepted a career path turn (during my college years) when I joined a National Restaurant Chain starting out as a "Chef" and ultimately as a "Store Manager". (Looking back, this one of my favorite jobs - no lack of food - and it greatly improved my "People Skills").


After successfully completing my "Computer and Electrical Engineering Degree" at LeTourneau University (Longview, Texas), I accepted a position at Halliburton Oil Services in Ventura, California to head up their new "Digital Logging Services" (DLS). I worked as a "Senior Field Trainer" at various Onshore and Offshore Southern California Oil Platforms - ultimately ending up as a Senior Corporate Trainer in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska (Dead Horse, North Slope, USA).


After that "bone-chilling" experience (minus 58 degress and minus 106 windchill), I enhanced my digital computer skills again when I accepted a position with the U.S. Navy as a "Weapon Systems Engineer" aboard "Aegis Weapon System / Spy Radar" enhanced platforms (Aegis Cruisers) in the "warmer markets" of Southern California, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.


During this first period of my life (what I call *Basic Training*), I had the privilege of learning many skills from experienced people for which I say a hearty...

In 1991, I decided to "Break Free" of working for others and Founded my own business: "Home Business Network" and secured my simple (now very valuable) domain HBN.COM - taking advantage of the "new" personal computer craze and something new called the "Internet" (at this time, there was less than 500 web sites in the world!)


After my success in developing the first automatic online screening and follow up system for a small growing company (see Awards), I was invited to consult with a new startup company whos flagship product was the first I-Phone (years before the current Apple i-Phone). This unique service offered one the first commercial "Voice Over Internet Protocol" (VOIP) products - which is very common today. (The "I-Phone" trademark was later bought by Apple and the VOIP technology was later integrated into the technology we commonly use today (like Skype and Vonage). Overall, this was a "Priceless" learning lesson in the area of advanced digital communication and computer systems.


Today, I continue to work with "Cutting-Edge Companies" who I believe are developing unique products, services and globally available technology.
