Here is my journey... (so far)


I was introduced to the computer world in 1973 as an assistant in a design firm which developed "Wood Processing Machinery" (no PC's or hard disks back then!) After building my computer skills, I accepted a job working for "Boeing" on the "747 Jumbo Jet" program where I learned many skills in design and manufacturing. My career then took a wild turn when a friend of mine (Regional Manager for a national restaurant chain) offered me a chance to enter a new program where I was trained as a "Chef / Manager" (looking back, this one of my favorite jobs and it greatly improved my "People Skills").


After the successful completion of my "Computer and Electrical Engineering Degree" at LeTourneau University (Longview, Texas), I was hired by Halliburton Oil Services to head up their new "Digital Logging Services" (DLS) as a Lead Trainer working onshore and offshore (Southern California Oil Platforms) and finally in Prudhoe Bay (North Slope, Alaska). After that "very cold" experience, I enhanced my digital skills again when I took a job with the U.S. Navy as a "Weapon Systems Engineer" aboard "Aegis Weapon System / Spy Radar" enhanced platforms (Aegis Cruisers) in the "warmer markets" of Southern California, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. During this first period of education (what I call *Basic Training*), I had the privilege of learning many skills from experienced people for which I say a hearty...

In 1991, I decided to "Break Free" and Founded my own business: "Home Business Network" - HBN.COM - taking advantage of the ability to work-at-home using my personal computer in the new online craze called the "Internet" (at this time, there was less than 500 web sites in the world!)


After my success in developing the first automatic online screening and follow up system for a small company called "Herbalife" (see awards), I was invited to consult with a new startup company called "I-Link" who's flagship product was the first I-Phone (years before the current Apple i-Phone). This unique service offered one the first commercial "Voice Over Internet Protocol" (VOIP) products - which is very common today. (The "I-Phone" trademark was later bought by Apple and the VOIP technology was later purchased and integrated into "Big Planet's" technology division.) Overall, this was a "Priceless" learning lesson in the area of advanced digital communication systems - skills I now use everyday.


Today, I continue to work with "Cutting-Edge" companies such as "Beyond Commerce" and "iBuzzpro" who I believe are developing unique products, services and technology.

As I always say... "It's amazing what you can do with a little keyboard and technology --- when you know how to use it!"
